Our last day at Riverwood

Our Autumn holiday at the farm was drawing to a close, and it was time to gather our stuff, and prepare for the trip home tomorrow. The day started out cool, so we bundled up and set off for our walk along the Old Logging Road.
We did the complete circle along The Logging Road to Maple Lane,  then over to River Ramble Path, and even took a few side trips north of the Cowboy Tree to find this spot by the river, before heading south again to River Ramble Path.
The Old Logging Road was so pretty with its carpet of leaves.  The next time we walk this I guess we will be wearing snow shoes.
At the very end of the walk, we ventured down to the Swimming Hole for our last visit there.
The afternoon warmed up nicely, and we were ready for another walk, so we headed over to the other side of the road, and walked up to the Sand Pits at the edge of the property there.
The hills on the other side of the road make for a really pretty walk.
At the property line near the sand pits, we met our neighbour out for a walk with his dogs. He showed us pictures of his new month old baby girl, and we talked about the joys of parenting.  It was a delightful unexpected visit.
At the end of that day, we took blankets and lamps down to the Playner Mill, and enjoyed at late night conflab there.  AC went outside with his camera and tripod and got some interesting pictures.
I managed to get the camera and take this pic of the photographer before we gathered up blankets and lamps and headed back up to the farmhouse.
And that's it folks.  The next morning we packed up the car and headed for home.
